The CTUF Quest Center Cohort at NLU will enable you to strengthen your assessment and curriculum development skills and prepare you to fill specialized, in-demand positions in CPS schools.
The CTUF Quest Center/NLU Cohorts provide:

The National College of Education (NCE) at NLU has a long-standing reputation for its education programs. Special Education Learning Behavior Specialist Endorsement (LBS1) »
The LBS1 Endorsement program at NLU is designed for teachers looking to add a specialized endorsement to their teaching license. This LBS1 Endorsement program gives you the knowledge and skills to work in inclusive classrooms and school settings, with the ability to use Universal Design for Learning strategies to effectively reach all students.
If you’re looking to enhance your skills within the areas of literacy, development, and instruction, NCE’s Reading program has several options for you. If you’d like to be a better reading teacher in your classroom, our Reading Teacher track may fit your needs. If you’re interested in leading your school’s reading program and potentially training other teachers, consider our Reading Specialist track. Our renowned faculty are active researchers and national literacy leaders, and our practicum is nationally known as one of the finest programs for preparation of literacy educators. This program has an excellent reputation throughout Illinois, and meets the guidelines of the International Reading Association, CAEP, and the State of Illinois for the preparation of reading teachers and reading specialists.
The Subsequent Endorsement program is designed for those looking to expand their career options to teach in multiple grade bands. Through this program you can earn additional teaching endorsements in Early Childhood (birth-2), Elementary (1-6), Middle Grades (5-8), or Secondary (9-12). You will also have the opportunity to apply your past work experience toward your course credits by submitting a professional portfolio. NCE faculty and staff will support you in the process.
