CPS Framework for Teaching Study Groups – Domain 1
Domain 1: This professional development activity focuses on the Chicago Public Schools’ Framework for Teaching (FFT) Domain 1 with Critical Attributes (CPS’ REACH teacher/licensee performance evaluation system). Participants analyze the criteria for each component and element; and determine strategies, techniques, and practices aligned to the “Distinguished” (highest) level rating. The session includes group collaboration to analyze the FFT and determine aligned “Best Practices”. Teachers also collaborate to plan various ways to collect data to increase knowledge about their students (surveys, anecdotal notes from observations of students, parent interviews, etc.).
In order to receive credit, participants must attend each entire session. Please note that while you are welcome to stay, late arrivals and early departures cannot receive ISBE PD Hours.
