CPS Framework for Teaching Domain Colloquia
The CPS Framework for Teaching Domain Colloquia offers CPS teachers the opportunity to learn more about each of the Domains through discussion, analysis, and collaboration with their colleagues. The instructor will guide participants through the process of ‘breaking down’ each Domain and determining what is considered ‘Distinguished level’ practice by evaluators during the observation cycle.
Each 3.5-hour session provides participants with the opportunity to share experiences, discuss best practices, and learn strategies and techniques for improving their practice, as well as develop a long-term plan for their professional development goals for the upcoming REACH evaluation cycle. Teachers are welcome to attend individual sessions or the entire Colloquia.
- This professional development offering is a Colloquia, participants may choose to attend, all, one, or some of the sessions.
- The Colloquia will be held on June 26 (Domain 1), June 27 (Domain 2), June 28 (Domain 3), and June 29 (Domain 4), 2017 from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM.
- Each session will be 3.5 hours long. Those who register for all 4 sessions will receive 14 ISBE PDHs total.
- This professional development covers the entire CPS Framework for Teaching and the CPS Teacher Evaluation Handbook.
