CPS Framework for Teaching Study Groups – Domain 2

Domain 2: This professional development activity focuses on the Chicago Public School’s Framework for Teaching (FFT) Domain 2 with Critical Attributes (CPS’ REACH teacher/ licensee evaluation system). Participants analyze the criteria for each component and element; and determine strategies, techniques, and practices aligned to the “Distinguished” [highest] level rating. The session includes group collaboration to analyze the Framework and determine aligned “Best Practices”. Teachers also collaborate to plan various ways to establish a culture for learning and manage student behavior. This PD activity provides materials and resources relevant for mastery of the CPS FFT Domain 2 (The Classroom Environment) that can be added to teachers’ professional development binder.

In order to receive credit, participants must attend each entire session. Please note that while you are welcome to stay, late arrivals and early departures cannot receive ISBE PD Hours.
